Building Project News
The Facilities Committee has nearly completed the task of selecting a Civil Engineering firm to be a member of the design team for our project. We felt being proactive in selecting this professional would benefit us when we are able to move forward with our project. There are many regulations and codes to be followed when planning for new construction. There are also permits and approvals from various agencies that must be properly obtained. Many of the permits and approvals take a substantial amount of time to receive. We recognize that these issues will be the first on our list of items to address once we begin our project – whenever that is!
We should ask Fr. Paul Fagan for advice in building church and school facilities! He certainly has done wonders for our sister parish of Old Maswa in Tanzania. They have built churches, schools, hospitals and roads to spread the Catholic faith to the Serengeti Plains in East Africa. Congratulations to him and his “building committee”.
