Building Project News
The process of studying the need for new parish facilities and developing a plan of action has been ongoing for nearly four years already. Fundraising efforts, including our capital campaign, started more than two years ago and are continuing today.

We are excited to share some of the numbers related to these efforts to raise funds for a building project. The capital campaign was set up to span a 5-year time frame. New pledges continue to be received extending commitments to the year 2012. The total amount of funds raised including cash, property, investments and in-kind donations is about $3,500,000. Of this amount $2,992,528 is pledged in cash.
550 families, which is 32% of the 1,718 registered at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, have committed to the capital campaign. We continue to encourage those families who have not pledged to do so at whatever level they are able. For those unable to contribute financially your prayers are always welcome.
Payments are received weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annually. Whatever fits into a familyís budget can be accommodated. Gifts other than cash are also welcome.
At the end of June 2008, $1,245,296.74 has been collected on the cash pledges. This is approximately 42% of the total pledged amount. The amounts received in 2006 and 2007 have exceeded the pledged amounts by 6% and 15%. So far in 2008 the amounts received have exceeded the projected half way amount by 3%. From the money collected we have paid all our expenses from the campaign, architectural and consultant fees and purchased the Stevens Street property. The balance of the monies are appropriately invested.
