What is Scrip?
Scrip is a term that means 'substitute money.' When you purchase Scrip, you are purchasing gift certificates that are used just like cash. The Scrip is issued by the national and local retailers where many of you already shop. These merchants want to support our church and school and in return ask you to support them by shopping with Scrip at their place of business. You may use Scrip to purchase everyday items like food, clothing, gasoline, toys, gifts and other essentials. With every purchase you earn revenue for our school and church.
Stop by the Scrip table after mass or at the parish office and check out the many local and national retailers available. Scrip is simple and easy to use.

NEWS FROM THE PRINCIPAL
The summer is winding down and the start to a new school year is just around the corner. Our Nativity Catholic School Orientation Day will be held on Monday, August 31. All families registered for the 2009-2010 school year should plan to stop in at the South Building (St. Mary’s site) for your back to school kick-off. The first day of classes will be Tuesday, September 1.
If you or someone you know is interested in joining our school family, please contact the school office at (715) 362-5588. We would love to share the many great things about our school with you.
As we start a new year, there will be a few changes in staffing. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs. Bridget Golden for her years of service to our school and for the knowledge she has shared with many children. At this time, Mrs. Golden has decided to pursue other interests. I wish her the best of luck and all God’s blessings.
Mrs. Stacie Simkins will be a new Second Grade teacher beginning this fall. Stacie was one of our 4K teachers last year. We are excited to have Stacie on our staff and look forward to a great year ahead. A few other staffing changes/additions will be made in the coming weeks.
At this time, we do have two positions open on our staff. Please note the information on page one of this bulletin. If you would like to become a member of our school staff, please send the required information to the school office no later than August 17, 2009. Thank you for your interest. Enjoy the summer and God bless.
