What is Scrip?
Scrip is a term that means 'substitute money.' When you purchase Scrip, you are purchasing gift certificates that are used just like cash. The Scrip is issued by the national and local retailers where many of you already shop. These merchants want to support our church and school and in return ask you to support them by shopping with Scrip at their place of business. You may use Scrip to purchase everyday items like food, clothing, gasoline, toys, gifts and other essentials. With every purchase you earn revenue for our school and church.
Stop by the Scrip table after mass or at the parish office and check out the many local and national retailers available. Scrip is simple and easy to use.

From the principal

While it took some time for the weather to feel like summer, now that summer has arrived, how glorious it has been. I hope that you are enjoying the time spent with families and friends during the beautiful days God has given us.
It is hard to believe that August is here and with it the little bit of excitement that comes with getting ready to return to school. We are looking forward to another great year at Nativity Catholic and the opportunity to spend time with you at our weekly liturgies and other events. If you or someone you know is considering sending a child to our school, please feel free to give us a call at one of our school numbers;
362-5588, 362-3366, or 362-2299.
With the back-to-school ads filling the papers and media, be sure to make your Scrip purchases before you do your shopping. We have a variety of Scrip vendors for clothing, school supplies, back packs, and everything the kids need. We also have Scrip for those stops at the gas stations, eating establishments, and treats for when you are finished. Scrip helps our school and parish. Stop after weekend Masses or in the parish office to make your purchases.
As we begin to prepare for the upcoming year, we do so with a bit of sadness as we say goodbye to Carrie Boettcher, who has been a 3rd grade teacher at our school for the past five years. Carrie has accepted a Title I teaching position with the Rhinelander School District. We wish her the best of luck and all God's blessings as she begins this new phase in her teaching career. Carrie will definitely be missed by everyone in our school family.
We welcome Mrs. Amy Sampe, one of our 4 year old Kindergarten teachers, to the 3rd grade teaching position. Mrs. Sampe has taught Intermediate level students in the past, and with her outstanding teaching skills we know she will do a wonderful job.
With these changes in staffing, we now have a half-time 4K teaching position open. Applications for the position can be picked up at the Parish Office or by calling the school office at 362-3366. Completed applications and resumes are due to the school office no later than August 15. Thank you for your interest in our school.
Enjoy the sunshine and God bless.
